Scholarship Sponsored by Modoc Nation
Modoc Nation offers a variety of educational services to our members. We offer IEP/504 support consultation and support, mentoring, as well as post-secondary scholarships.
Modoc Scholarships
- Bachelor’s level students scholarship $9,500 per semester for 8 semesters
- Graduate-level student scholarships $7,500 per semester for 4 semesters
- PhD program or J.D scholarship $7,500 per semester for 6 semesters
- Medical Doctors Program $7,500 per semester for 8 semesters
- Vocational Technical Trade Program $6000 per semester
We are excited to support you as you pursue your academic goals. To be considered for the Modoc Post Secondary Scholarship, please review the following criteria to make sure you can qualify.
- You have been an enrolled member of Modoc Nation for at least one complete calendar year
- You have obtained your high school diploma/GED
- You have no outstanding debt at any previously attended higher education institution
Scholarship Guidelines
Modoc Nation does not fund summer sessions.
Students who fail to meet the minimum requirements for the scholarship, will be suspended from the scholarship program. If he/she wishes to be reinstated, he/she must enroll; pass a minimum of 12 credits with a G.P.A of 2.0 in a specified semester/term. (This semester/term will need to be accomplished without funding from Modoc Nation)
The Modoc Nation will provide funding for one degree or one vocational certificate/degree.
All scholarships are tentative and must have Tribal approval. No payment is guaranteed until the check is written.
Applications that are received and/or postmarked after the deadline will not be funded and will be returned to the applicant disapproved.
All students are required to apply for the Pell Grant. Apply free online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. This will not affect your eligibility or the amount of the Modoc scholarship.
Funding from the Educational Department of the Modoc Nation is subject to change at any time.
To receive a part-time award of $2000 per semester or $1333.34 per term (6-11 credits) requires working a minimum of 20 hours a week, proof of employment and work hours. These semesters/terms would count toward their total allowable semester/term awards
