WinField United Careers in Agriculture Scholarship

Introduction
This scholarship program is managed by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest organization that designs and administers scholarships and other educational support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and private donors. Eligibility for each specific award is set solely by the sponsor, and Scholarship America’s review team evaluates submitted applications.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the WinField United Careers in Agriculture Scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following:
- Be currently enrolled as a college undergraduate in the United States.
- Plan to enroll full time for the entire upcoming academic year at an accredited two‑ or four‑year college, university, or vocational‑technical institution.
- Be working toward a degree related to agriculture or demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in the agricultural industry.
- Have relevant work experience connected to the degree they are pursuing.
The following individuals are ineligible: employees of WinField United (including its affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising agencies) or any organization involved in creating or administering this scholarship, as well as their immediate family or household members. Immediate family is defined as parents, siblings, spouse, and children.
Awards
- Each scholarship award is $5,000.
- Up to four (4) scholarships will be granted.
- Awards are one-time only (not renewable). Students who remain eligible may reapply in subsequent years.
- Scholarships are available only for undergraduate study.
Application requirements
All required documents must be uploaded electronically for the application to be considered complete. Required items include:
- A current, complete transcript. Grade reports will not be accepted. The transcript must show:
- Student name
- School name
- Course grades
- Credit hours for each course and for each term in which the courses were taken
- One online recommendation must be submitted on your behalf by April 22, 2026, at 3:00 PM Central Time.
Selection criteria
Recipients are chosen based on the following factors (financial need is not considered):
- Academic performance
- Demonstrated leadership and involvement in school and community activities
- Relevant work experience
- A statement describing educational and career objectives
- Any unusual personal or family circumstances
- An online recommendation
A pool of qualified finalists will be provided to the sponsor, who will make the final recipient selections. Not all applicants will become finalists or recipients; all application decisions are final.
Notification and communication
All applicants will be informed of decisions in late May. Notifications will be sent by email. When creating your application account, do not use a school or employer email address—use a personal email you will retain access to. Add studentsupport@scholarshipamerica.org and the program’s email address to your safe senders or contacts to ensure you receive correspondence.
Payment of scholarships
Scholarship America will process award payments on behalf of Land O’Lakes, Inc. Payments are issued in August.
