PACIM Rog Endowment Fund Award
Scholarship Sponsored by Polish American Cultural Institute of Minnesota
Introduction
The Polish American Cultural Institute of Minnesota (PACIM) has created an endowed fund in memory of one of its founding members, Chester Rog. Through this fund PACIM offers annual stipends—up to $2,000 total—to individuals or groups pursuing professional development in the Polish language, arts, or culture, whether locally or abroad. Recipients are expected to apply their learning and experience to support and promote Polish heritage in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
Who is eligible
- Applicants should be of Polish or Polish-American background, or otherwise demonstrate a strong affinity for Poland and its cultural traditions.
- Applicants must show active involvement in the Polish-American community and a clear plan for how the proposed activity will benefit Polish heritage in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
Required materials
All application materials must be received by July 31. Include the following:
1. Identification of the event, course, or program you want support for — include its name, location, and purpose. Explain how attending or participating will advance Polish heritage in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
2. A completed Personal Information Form (see form supplied by PACIM).
3. If you are applying as an individual, a brief biographical statement that includes a short summary of your Polish heritage/descent (when applicable).
4. Two letters of recommendation.
Selection, notification, and conditions
- The Scholarship Committee and the PACIM Board of Directors will review applications; their decisions are final.
- Applicants selected for funding will be informed by October 1.
- Recipients are expected to give back by volunteering at a minimum of one PACIM event (either in person or remotely).
