Overview
The Rockefeller State Wildlife Scholarship provides annual awards to Louisiana students pursuing degrees in forestry, wildlife, or marine science at a public college or university in Louisiana. Undergraduate recipients receive $2,000 per year; graduate recipients receive $3,000 per year. A student may receive up to $12,000 in total support, covering as much as three years at the undergraduate level and two years at the graduate level.

Eligibility
- Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or an eligible non‑citizen; if required, be registered with Selective Service.
- Have been a Louisiana resident for at least one year prior to July 1 of the year the scholarship is awarded.
- Provide any documentation requested by the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance (LOSFA).
- Be enrolled full time as either an undergraduate or graduate student at a Louisiana public college or university, majoring in forestry, wildlife, or marine science and pursuing a degree in that field.
- Undergraduate applicants must have completed at least 60 semester hours of college credit and hold a cumulative college GPA of at least 2.50.
- Graduate applicants must have a cumulative graduate GPA of at least 3.00 on all graduate credits earned.

Renewal / Continued Eligibility
To renew the award, recipients must meet these conditions each academic year:
- Not exceed a total receipt period of five academic years (three years for undergraduate study and two years for graduate study).
- By the end of the academic year (spring term), meet the institution’s full‑time credit requirements: undergraduates must have earned at least 24 credit hours during the fall, winter and spring terms at schools that define full‑time undergraduate status as 12 semester or eight quarter hours; graduate recipients must have earned at least 18 credit hours during the fall, winter and spring terms at schools that define full‑time graduate status as nine semester hours.
- Maintain the required cumulative GPA: at least 2.50 for undergraduates or at least 3.00 for graduate students at the end of each academic year.
- Maintain continuous full‑time enrollment unless LOSFA grants an exception.
- Continue to pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree program in forestry, wildlife, or marine science.
